The Vault Terms of Service

Welcome to The Vault.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Vault website, services, community systems, creator tools, studio systems, events, applications, uploads, and all related features operated by The Vault ("The Vault", "we", "our", or "us").

By accessing or using The Vault, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use The Vault.

1. Eligibility

To use The Vault, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old or meet the minimum legal age required in your country.
  • Have permission from a parent or legal guardian if required by law.
  • Follow all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide accurate account information.

The Vault reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate eligibility requirements.

2. User Accounts

Users may create reader accounts, creator accounts, studio accounts, moderator accounts, or other approved account types.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account security.
  • Keeping login credentials private.
  • Activities performed through your account.
  • Providing accurate and updated information.

You may not:

  • Share accounts without permission.
  • Sell or transfer accounts.
  • Impersonate another person, creator, studio, or company.
  • Create accounts for fraud, harassment, spam, or illegal activity.

The Vault reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts at any time for violations of these Terms.

3. Creator Ownership and Copyright

Creators retain ownership of the original content they create and upload unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

By uploading content to The Vault, you confirm:

  • You own the content, or
  • You have full legal permission to upload and publish the content.

This includes:

  • Comics
  • Webtoons
  • Manga
  • Scripts
  • Artwork
  • Characters
  • Lore
  • Logos
  • Studio assets
  • Music
  • Voice acting
  • Promotional material

You may not upload:

  • Stolen content
  • Reuploaded comics without permission
  • Traced artwork presented as original
  • Unauthorized translations
  • AI-generated content that violates ownership rights
  • Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights

The Vault may request ownership verification at any time.

Creators may be asked to provide:

  • PSD or Clip Studio files
  • Drafts or sketches
  • Timelapses
  • Production logs
  • Contracts or permissions
  • Other ownership evidence

Failure to provide reasonable ownership proof may result in content removal or account action.

4. License Granted to The Vault

By uploading content to The Vault, you grant The Vault a non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable license to:

  • Host your content
  • Display your content
  • Promote your content
  • Feature your content
  • Distribute your content through platform systems
  • Use thumbnails, previews, banners, and promotional excerpts for marketing and platform functionality

You retain ownership of your original content unless separate written agreements state otherwise.

Vault Originals, funded projects, studio contracts, or partnership agreements may include additional licensing terms through separate contracts.

5. Content Moderation

The Vault reserves the right to:

  • Review uploaded content
  • Remove content
  • Restrict visibility
  • Freeze monetization
  • Suspend projects
  • Suspend accounts
  • Permanently ban users

Moderation decisions may occur for:

  • Copyright infringement
  • Harassment
  • Hate speech
  • Illegal activity
  • Graphic exploitation
  • Fraud
  • Spam
  • Impersonation
  • Dangerous content
  • NSFW violations
  • Community disruption

The Vault may remove content that damages platform safety, creator safety, or legal compliance.

6. Copyright Disputes and DMCA

If you believe your content has been stolen or uploaded without permission, you may submit a copyright claim through The Vault dispute system.

Reports should include:

  • Your name or studio name
  • Proof of ownership
  • Links to original content
  • Links to reported content
  • Supporting evidence

The Vault may:

  • Temporarily hide content
  • Freeze monetization
  • Request evidence from both parties
  • Remove infringing material
  • Suspend or terminate offending accounts

False copyright claims may result in penalties or account action.

The Vault reserves the right to preserve evidence, upload logs, and moderation records during investigations.

7. Community Conduct

Users must behave respectfully within The Vault.

You may not:

  • Harass users
  • Threaten users
  • Dox users
  • Stalk users
  • Encourage self-harm
  • Spread malware or scams
  • Impersonate staff or creators
  • Disrupt events or premieres
  • Abuse report systems
  • Manipulate platform systems unfairly
  • Use bots for spam or manipulation

The Vault reserves the right to remove users who negatively impact the platform or community.

8. Creator Collaboration and Studios

The Vault supports collaborative projects and studio systems.

Creators are responsible for:

  • Managing team agreements
  • Revenue agreements
  • Credit distribution
  • Internal permissions
  • Shared asset permissions

The Vault may provide collaboration tools, templates, or agreement systems, but creators remain responsible for legal agreements between collaborators unless separate official contracts are signed.

The Vault is not automatically responsible for disputes between collaborators.

However, The Vault may intervene when disputes affect:

  • Copyright ownership
  • Fraud
  • Revenue abuse
  • Platform safety
  • Community harm

9. Monetization and Payments

The Vault may provide monetization systems including:

  • Premium subscriptions
  • Creator support systems
  • Funding goals
  • Revenue sharing
  • Tips
  • Event rewards
  • Studio funding systems

Monetization eligibility may depend on:

  • Account standing
  • Creator verification
  • Content quality
  • Community safety
  • Compliance with platform rules

The Vault reserves the right to:

  • Pause payouts
  • Reverse payouts in fraud cases
  • Freeze monetization during disputes
  • Remove monetization access

Revenue splits between collaborators remain the responsibility of project owners unless separate agreements exist.

Taxes, reporting obligations, and financial responsibilities remain the responsibility of the user.

10. Premium Services and Vault+

The Vault may provide premium services, subscriptions, supporter systems, or Vault+ features.

Premium features may include:

  • Early access
  • Offline reading
  • Expanded creator tools
  • Advanced analytics
  • Studio systems
  • Enhanced customization
  • Premium events

Premium subscriptions may:

  • Renew automatically
  • Be cancelled by the user
  • Change pricing over time

The Vault reserves the right to modify premium features at any time.

Refunds may be limited except where required by law.

11. AI Assistance Tools

The Vault may provide AI-assisted tools for:

  • Grammar checking
  • Formatting assistance
  • Production support
  • Thumbnail analysis
  • Workflow organization

AI systems are designed to assist creators, not replace creators.

The Vault will not intentionally train AI systems on private creator content without permission.

Creators remain fully responsible for content uploaded using AI-assisted systems.

The Vault may restrict AI-generated content that violates platform policies or copyright protections.

12. Events and Community Participation

The Vault may host:

  • Competitions
  • Interactive events
  • Faction wars
  • Lore events
  • Community voting systems
  • Creator showcases

The Vault reserves the right to:

  • Change event rules
  • Remove submissions
  • Disqualify participants
  • Cancel events
  • Moderate voting systems

Users may not manipulate events through:

  • Fake accounts
  • Vote abuse
  • Harassment
  • Botting
  • Fraudulent activity

13. User Generated Content

Users are solely responsible for the content they upload, post, submit, or share.

The Vault does not automatically endorse user content.

The Vault reserves the right to:

  • Remove content
  • Restrict content visibility
  • Archive content
  • Preserve moderation evidence

Archived or removed content may remain stored internally for moderation, legal, safety, or dispute purposes.

14. Privacy and Data

The Vault may collect:

  • Account information
  • Upload history
  • Usage analytics
  • Moderation records
  • Payment information
  • Device and browser information

This data is used to:

  • Operate platform systems
  • Improve services

Submitting false or abusive appeals may result in further penalties.

Users access and use The Vault at their own risk.

  • Copyright claims related to your uploads
  • Your misuse of platform systems
  • Your unlawful behavior

21. Changes to These Terms

The Vault may update these Terms at any time.

Updated Terms become effective when published.

Continued use of The Vault after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and applicable Australian law unless otherwise required by local law.
